AfreeCAN was a group exhibition presented by Chashama and curated by Alexis Mendoza. The exhibition explored the interrelationship between Afro-descendant artists from Cuba, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, foregrounding Afro identity, diasporic consciousness, ancient practices, and contemporary artistic development.

The exhibition brought together artists whose practices engage history, culture, identity, material traditions, and the ongoing influence of African heritage in Caribbean and Latin American art.
