Born in the Dominican Republic, Wildriana María de Jesús Paulino is a multidisciplinary artist and educator. Her practice centers on femininity, transformation, and autonomy. Using installation, sculpture, drawing and printmaking, Paulino merges female and natural forms to create hybrids that thrive on a celebration of femininity. Research driven, her work also delves on themes of resilience through her investigations on femicide, where she explores ways in which women can reclaim autonomy in a world that often denies it.

Paulino holds a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art and currently teaches at The Bronx Museum. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as the Bronx River Art Center, Abrazo Interno Gallery, and Hostos Art Gallery. In 2022, she participated in the New York Latin American Art Triennial as its youngest artist. A recipient of the 2022 Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation Prize, her collaborations include Women's Strike NYC and The Audubon Society. In 2023, she was awarded the 178Studio Residency at Cornerstone Studios, where she maintained a year-long studio. In the summer of 2024, Paulino became an artist-in-residence at NYLAAT House on Governors Island. She is currently holding a residency at MarinaMansion in Brooklyn, and is on line to participate in the Summer 2025 TAAC (Taiwanese American Art Center) Residency at Governors Island. She will also attend the Vermont Studio Center Fellowship in the fall of 2025.
